Salaberry-de-Valleyfield is an industrial island: the St. Lawrence River to the north, the Beauharnois Canal to the south, and the Port of Valleyfield on the canal, where ships load and unload. The city has four major industrial parks, served by the 530 — which connects it to the 30 — and by the Monseigneur-Langlois bridge, toward Coteau-du-Lac and Vaudreuil.
